First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested a new online training program for community health workers (called promotoras) to help them teach healthy living to Hispanic women. 160 female health workers took part, either receiving the new web-based training or a standard government training. The goal was to see if the new training increased their confidence and skills to run obesity prevention programs. Results showed whether the web-based approach improved their self-efficacy compared to the standard training.
