This study tests whether colostomy bags with an active chamber filter system cause fewer filter-related problems—like ballooning, pancaking, odour, and faecal leakage—than bags with a standard protective filter. About 27 adults who have had a colostomy for at least six months and regularly experience these issues will try three different bag types in a crossover design. The goal is to see if the new filter design offers a more comfortable and reliable experience.
