NCT ID NCT07168135

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at whether turning off the sedation medicine (propofol) right after the doctor reaches the end of the colon (cecum) helps patients recover their thinking and movement faster after a colonoscopy. About 100 adults having a routine screening or surveillance colonoscopy will take part. The goal is to speed up recovery without making the procedure uncomfortable, while also reducing costs and risks from too much sedation.
