Summary
This study aimed to find the best waiting time after drinking a bowel-cleansing solution to get the cleanest colon for a painless colonoscopy. Researchers used ultrasound scans to check when patients' stomachs were empty after the prep drink, then performed the colonoscopy. They compared doing the procedure within 2 hours of an empty stomach versus waiting 2-4 hours to see which timing led to better bowel cleanliness.
