New colon surgery technique aims to get patients home faster
NCT ID NCT03862781
Summary
This study is comparing two different surgical techniques for removing the right side of the colon. Researchers want to see if performing the internal connection (anastomosis) entirely inside the body leads to faster recovery of bowel function and earlier hospital discharge compared to the traditional method. The study involves 125 adults scheduled for minimally invasive colon surgery.
