Hot chemo bath trial aims to stop colon Cancer's return
NCT ID NCT06783491
Summary
This large study is testing if adding a special heated chemotherapy wash directly into the abdomen during surgery, combined with standard chemotherapy before and after surgery, can keep advanced colon cancer from coming back better than the current standard treatment. It will involve over 1,000 patients whose cancer is locally advanced but has not spread to distant organs. The main goal is to see if patients receiving the new approach remain cancer-free for longer.
