Major cancer trial tests stronger chemo to stop colon Cancer's return
NCT ID NCT02967289
Summary
This large international study tested whether a more intensive three-drug chemotherapy combination (mFOLFIRINOX) works better than a standard two-drug combination (mFOLFOX) after surgery for high-risk stage III colon cancer. The goal was to see which treatment better prevents the cancer from coming back. Nearly 800 patients participated, receiving one of the two chemotherapy regimens for about 6 months after their surgery.
