App trains doctors to spot colon polyps more accurately

NCT ID NCT07424391

First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a digital training app called Colo-ID helps doctors better predict the type of colon polyps they see during a colonoscopy. About 1,500 adults with at least one polyp will take part. Doctors will record their predictions before and after using the app, and compare them to lab results. The goal is to see if training improves accuracy and could lead to fewer unnecessary polyp removals.
