First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at two treatments for a common wrist fracture called Colles' fracture. One group gets a cast after the bone is set, while the other gets a small metal pin (K-wire) to hold the bone in place before the cast. The goal is to see which approach leads to better wrist function. The study will include 60 adults aged 18 to 60 with a closed fracture that happened within the past week.
