New scaffold aims to rebuild breasts after cancer removal
NCT ID NCT07219316
Summary
This study tested a collagen scaffold to help restore breast shape and volume after breast-conserving cancer surgery. It involved 40 women who had surgery leaving a noticeable dent. The goal was to see if this implant, which acts like a supportive framework for the body's own tissue to grow into, is safe and improves cosmetic results and patient satisfaction.
