New study aims to improve dental implant success with simple membrane addition

NCT ID NCT07580495

First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether adding a collagen membrane to a standard bone graft helps maintain jawbone shape after tooth removal, which is important for future dental implants. About 30 adults needing a tooth extraction will receive either the graft alone or with the membrane. After 4 months, scans will measure bone changes and check if implants can be placed without extra procedures.
