Can a fish collagen drink speed up healing after a broken bone?
NCT ID NCT07347236
Summary
This study is testing whether a daily collagen supplement drink, taken alongside standard care, helps older adults recover better after a fragility fracture. Researchers will compare two groups of 76 participants aged 60+ to see if the supplement improves nutrition, muscle mass, strength, and bone health over 12 weeks, and if any benefits last for 24 weeks. The goal is to see if adding this specific nutrition support can aid long-term recovery and prevent future fractures.
