Breathing treatment tweak tested for ICU pneumonia
NCT ID NCT06230614
Summary
This study is testing if using more or less saline liquid to mix the same dose of an inhaled antibiotic (colistin) works better for treating pneumonia in patients on breathing machines. Researchers will enroll 60 ICU patients to see if the different mixtures affect recovery time, survival, or how the drug moves in the body. The goal is to find the best mixing method to improve this treatment.
