New toothpaste formula tested to fight gum disease

NCT ID NCT06430060

Summary

This study tested whether a new Colgate toothpaste with dual zinc ingredients works better than their standard cavity protection toothpaste at reducing plaque and gum inflammation (gingivitis). 86 adults with existing plaque and mild gum inflammation used one of the two toothpastes for three months. Dentists measured changes in their gum health and plaque levels to see if the new formula provided better control.
