NCT ID NCT06430060

First seen Mar 20, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tested whether a new Colgate toothpaste with dual zinc can better control plaque and gingivitis (early gum disease) compared to a standard cavity-protection toothpaste. 86 adults with mild to moderate plaque and gum inflammation used one of the two toothpastes for three months. Dentists measured plaque and gum health at the start and end of the study to see which toothpaste worked better.
