Chill pill for your throat: iced tubes ease Post-Surgery pain

NCT ID NCT05834179

Summary

This study tested if cooling the breathing tube used during surgery could reduce the common and uncomfortable sore throat patients often experience afterward. Researchers enrolled 116 adults having elective surgery to compare the cold tube method against standard care. The goal was to find a simple, safe, and drug-free way to improve patient comfort after anesthesia.
