Chilling new approach to save rotten teeth
NCT ID NCT07303010
Summary
This study is testing if rinsing the inside of a tooth with cold saline solution improves the success of a 'pulpotomy'—a procedure to save a tooth with a deep cavity and inflamed nerve. Researchers will compare the cold rinse to a room-temperature rinse in 140 adults. The goal is to see if the cold treatment helps control the inflammation and leads to better long-term tooth survival.
