Ice packs calm Swimmers' shaky legs after hard workouts

NCT ID NCT07480200

Summary

This study tested if putting ice packs on specific tight muscle spots (called trigger points) could reduce leg shaking in young competitive swimmers after a hard swim. Thirty-four swimmers aged 10-16 tried two things: using ice packs and doing nothing. Researchers measured leg shaking before and after a 30-second maximum effort swim to see if the ice helped.
