Cold sponge or just medicine? new study tests best way to cool Kids' fevers

NCT ID NCT07426744

Summary

This study aims to find out if adding cold sponging to standard fever medicine (paracetamol) works better for reducing fever in young children. It will compare two groups: one receiving just the medicine and one receiving the medicine plus cold sponging. The goal is to provide clearer guidance to parents and doctors on whether the common practice of cold sponging is truly helpful or just causes extra discomfort.
