Chill out tooth pain: cold saline may ease root canal recovery

Summary

This study tests whether using ice-cold saline (2-5°C) as a final rinse during a root canal can lower pain after the procedure. Sixty adults with infected single-root teeth will be randomly assigned to get either room-temperature or cold saline. Pain levels will be measured before treatment and at 24 and 48 hours after.
