First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study looked at whether treating stitches with cold plasma can help reduce pain, swelling, and mouth stiffness after wisdom tooth surgery. Sixty adults had their lower wisdom teeth removed and received either silk or PTFE stitches, with or without plasma treatment. Researchers measured pain, swelling, and quality of life over a week to see if the plasma made a difference.
