Plasma power: can a gas treatment make dental implants stick better?
NCT ID NCT07348770
Summary
This study tested whether treating dental implants with different types of cold plasma gas could help them bond more securely to the jawbone. Eleven patients each received four implants, with each implant randomly assigned to receive either no treatment or one of three plasma treatments. Researchers measured how stable the implants were right after placement and over the following eight weeks to see if the plasma made a difference.
