First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tests a new device that uses cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) to treat moderate-to-severe acne. CAP creates reactive molecules that may kill acne bacteria and help skin heal. About 220 adults aged 18-40 will receive either CAP or a placebo treatment to see if it safely reduces acne lesions better than no treatment.
