Chill pill for IV pain? cold neck patch tested for quick relief
NCT ID NCT07253961
Summary
This study is testing if a simple, 5-second application of a cold marble to the side of the neck can reduce the pain of getting an IV needle inserted in obese patients. Researchers will compare pain levels in 150 patients who either receive the cold patch or get the standard IV procedure. The goal is to find a fast, non-drug method to make this common but painful medical procedure more comfortable.
