First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests whether using cold and compression after rotator cuff repair surgery helps reduce pain better than standard care. About 90 adults with partial or full-thickness rotator cuff tears will be randomly assigned to either a cold/compression group or a control group. Researchers will track pain scores daily for two weeks, then weekly for three months, and again at six months after surgery.
