NCT ID NCT03128905

Summary

This study aimed to find out if colchicine or prednisone (a steroid) works better and is safer for treating sudden, painful arthritis attacks caused by calcium crystals in joints. It involved 111 hospitalized patients aged 65 and older who were experiencing a flare-up. Researchers directly compared how well each drug reduced pain over 48 hours and monitored side effects.
