Quick brain check for sickle cell patients
NCT ID NCT05347043
Summary
This study aimed to see if a short, 10-minute screening test could reliably detect thinking and memory problems in adults with sickle cell disease. Researchers tested 65 adults with sickle cell disease, comparing the results of the quick screening test to a much longer, detailed neuropsychological evaluation. The goal was to find a faster way to identify patients who might need more comprehensive cognitive testing and support.
