New therapy aims to ease childbirth trauma in just 8 sessions

Summary
This study tests if 8 sessions of cognitive processing therapy (CPT) can help women and birthing people who have post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) from a traumatic childbirth. About 29 participants will attend weekly virtual therapy sessions and fill out questionnaires to see if their symptoms improve. The goal is to find out if this treatment is practical and helpful for reducing childbirth-related trauma.
