First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looks at how certain brain chemicals (from the tryptophan-kynurenine pathway) are linked to thinking and memory problems in people with early schizophrenia. Researchers will measure these chemicals in blood and assess cognitive function in 200 participants. The goal is to find early signs of cognitive decline and identify targets for future treatments.
