First seen Mar 13, 2026 · Last updated Jun 08, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests a therapy called Cognitive Functional Therapy (CFT) for people with chronic ankle sprain—ongoing pain, instability, or fear of moving the ankle. About 40 adults aged 18–65 with symptoms lasting over 3 months will receive CFT to see if it reduces pain, improves daily function, and lessens fear of movement. The goal is to offer a non-surgical option for long-term ankle problems.
