NCT ID NCT07483151

First seen Mar 23, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at whether blood backing up in the veins during heart surgery might cause problems with memory and thinking after the operation. Researchers will follow 110 adults having planned heart surgery to see if this 'venous congestion' is linked to cognitive decline. The goal is to better understand why some patients experience brain fog after surgery and find ways to prevent it.
