Could a coconut oil rinse be the secret to healthier gums?
NCT ID NCT07175090
Summary
This study tested whether a new mouth rinse made with coconut oil and xylitol could improve gum health in people with periodontitis (gum disease). 120 participants with mild to severe gum disease were randomly assigned to use either the new rinse or a placebo rinse. Researchers measured changes in gum appearance and bleeding to see if the natural rinse was more effective.
