Natural oils vs. lotion: the battle for preemie skin health
NCT ID NCT07503457
Summary
This study tested whether applying coconut oil or a standard moisturizing lotion could improve the skin condition of premature babies. Researchers compared these two treatments against routine hospital skincare in 90 infants born between 32 and 37 weeks. They measured skin moisture, pH, and vital signs like temperature and heart rate over five days to see which approach worked best.
