New hearing implant aims to sharpen speech understanding
NCT ID NCT04929470
Summary
This study is testing two new cochlear implant electrodes to see if they are safe and help adults with severe hearing loss understand speech better. Participants will get one of the implants and have their speech recognition tested before and 6 months after surgery. The main goal is to see if word understanding improves by at least 20% compared to using regular hearing aids.
