NCT ID NCT06545175

First seen Feb 13, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This early-phase trial tests whether a special cell-derived liquid, called VSF1.01, can safely reduce trauma to the inner ear during cochlear implant surgery. Eleven adults with severe hearing loss will receive the treatment directly into the cochlea before the implant is placed. The main goal is to check safety, but researchers will also measure nerve responses, speech understanding, and hearing thresholds.
