First seen Mar 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tested the safety and performance of two new cochlear implants (HiRes Ultra and HiRes Ultra 3D) in 30 adults with severe-to-profound hearing loss who did not benefit enough from hearing aids. Participants had no prior implant experience and were followed to measure how well they could understand speech in quiet and in noise. The goal was to confirm the devices work as intended under normal use.
