Cochlear implants could help more people with hearing loss

Summary

This study is testing whether cochlear implants are safe and helpful for adults with hearing loss in both ears who do not currently meet the standard FDA criteria for the device. About 50 participants will receive an implant and be followed for 6 months to check for side effects and improvements in hearing words and sentences. The goal is to see if more people could benefit from this technology.
