First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests a new Bluetooth feature in Nucleus 8 and Kanso 3 sound processors that lets cochlear implant users stream audio wirelessly. About 20 adults who already use a cochlear implant will try the new system at home and in the lab to see if it helps them hear speech better in noisy places like classrooms. The goal is to improve everyday listening without needing new surgery or devices.
