Co-sleeping cribs may boost sleep and bonding for new moms and babies

NCT ID NCT07525830

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether using a co-sleeping crib (a special crib attached to the mother's bed) improves sleep quality for breastfeeding mothers and their newborns compared to a standard crib. About 132 mothers and their babies will be randomly assigned to one of two groups. Sleep is measured with activity trackers, and bonding is assessed through questionnaires. The goal is to see if co-sleeping cribs can reduce stress and improve mother-infant bonding during the short stay in the maternity ward.
