Summary
This study looked at 139 children having a colonoscopy to measure how much CMV virus was in their gut tissue and blood. Some children had inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's or colitis) and some did not. The goal was to understand when CMV is present and how best to detect it, using PCR tests and tissue samples.
