Brace or surgery? new study aims to solve key dilemma for CMT patients

NCT ID NCT07188415

Summary

This study aims to understand which treatment helps people with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease walk better and feel more confident in their balance: wearing an ankle-foot brace (AFO) or having corrective surgery. Researchers will compare the two approaches by having 66 participants complete walking and balance tests in a specialized lab. The goal is to gather evidence to help patients and doctors make better-informed treatment decisions.
