Massive 5,000-Person study maps the journey of a debilitating nerve disease

Summary
This is a long-term observational study aiming to understand how different types of Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) disease naturally progress over five years. It will follow 5,000 patients and family members to track symptoms, identify genetic patterns, and test new tools for measuring the disease in children. The goal is to gather essential knowledge to prepare for future treatment trials, as there are currently no effective cures for CMT.
