NCT ID NCT07402369
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a new drug called CMS-D002 for women with uterine fibroids who have heavy menstrual bleeding. About 120 women aged 18-50 will take either the drug or a placebo daily for 12 weeks. The goal is to see if the drug can reduce bleeding to normal levels and shrink fibroids.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
CMS-D002 capsule
What this could lead to
If successful, this could offer a new non-surgical option to reduce heavy bleeding and improve quality of life for women with uterine fibroids.
What could go wrong
This is an early Phase 2 trial with only 120 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The drug may not work better than placebo, and side effects are still being studied.
