Second chance at Drug-Free life for leukemia patients

NCT ID NCT02917720

Summary

This study is for adults with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) who previously tried to stop their daily medication but saw their cancer return. It tests whether restarting a specific drug called nilotinib for at least two years can help patients successfully stop treatment a second or third time and stay in remission. Researchers will closely monitor 75 participants to see how long they can remain cancer-free without medication and track their quality of life.
