Smart oxygen system could help premature babies breathe easier

NCT ID NCT07622563

First seen Jun 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether an automated oxygen control system can help preterm babies (born before 34 weeks) who need breathing support. The system automatically adjusts oxygen levels to keep them in a safe range, which may reduce the time they need extra oxygen and lower the risk of lung problems. About 76 babies will be randomly assigned to receive either automated or manual oxygen control.
