Robot pancreas trial aims to tame tough diabetes
NCT ID NCT05562492
Summary
This study is testing whether an automated 'closed-loop' insulin delivery system works better than standard insulin therapy for people with diabetes caused by cystic fibrosis. About 128 participants aged 16 and older will use either the automated system or their usual insulin methods for 26 weeks. The main goal is to see if the automated system keeps blood sugar in a healthy range more consistently.
