New hope for leukemia patients when first treatment fails

Summary
This study is testing whether a combination of two targeted drugs, venetoclax and acalabrutinib, can help control chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) in patients whose cancer has returned after their first round of treatment. The trial will enroll 60 adults who previously received a specific first-line therapy. Researchers want to see if this new drug pair can achieve deep remission, potentially allowing patients to stop treatment again.
