First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looks at how well a device called Penditure™ works to close off a small pouch in the heart (the left atrial appendage) during other heart surgeries. The goal is to prevent blood clots that can cause strokes. About 198 adults having heart surgery will get the device, and doctors will check if the pouch stays closed after 3 months and if there are any serious problems within 30 days.
