First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated Jun 06, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study is testing whether the antibiotic clindamycin works as well as other antibiotics for treating strep infections that occur around artificial joints (like hip or knee replacements). The researchers will compare success rates in 260 adults who had surgery for the infection. The goal is to see if clindamycin can be a good alternative treatment option.
