Clear vs. metal: which brace works better for narrow jaws?
NCT ID NCT07362160
Summary
This study aims to see if a new, clear dental expander works as well as the traditional metal Hyrax expander for widening a narrow upper jaw in teenagers. It will involve 40 adolescents aged 10-14 who need this common orthodontic treatment. Researchers will measure jaw expansion, check for bacteria buildup, and ask patients about their comfort and satisfaction with each device.
